Head of Curriculum & Instruction

In 1992, Shane began his career with the Gastonia Police Department, serving as a member of the SWAT team. Currently, Shane is the Lead Firearms Instructor for the Basic Law Enforcement Training Academy at Gaston College in addition to his work here at Blackstone Shooting Sports. He loves to work with people at a variety of levels on any skill!

Danny moved to NC in the early 90’s where he spent almost 20 years at Ft Bragg NC with 7th Special Forces Group. He has trained many personnel in basic and advanced marksmanship techniques throughout his military career which carried through to 14 years of military contracting where again he trained personnel on weapons handling, tactics and explosives. Danny enjoys teaching and challenging new shooters to become a better marksman.%

Patrice, born and raised in California, moved to North Carolina in 2018 with her wife and son. Patrice is a certified North Carolina security trainer and was awarded Pistol Expert during her 8 years in private armed security. She is a firearms enthusiast, but even more so has a passion for instructing new shooters.

Born & raised in North Carolina, Emily is excited to bring her passion for the shooting sports to Blackstone! Emily shot competivitly for over 12 years, won over 10 State Championships, and was in the Top 25 under 25 for the NRA. She left competitive shooting to begin her career as a Law Enforcement Officer. Emily is excited to combine her love for the shooting sports and self-defense as she trains you to be confident and improve your skills!

Andre started a career in security in 1991 as club security then moving into department store security, armed security, and then Law Enforcement. In that time developing a love for shooting and helping others learn the proper technique and safety needed to become better shooters, so he decided to get into instructing; certified in CCW, PPSB Unarmed, Armed, & Long Gun, as well as NRA Pistol & Shotgun and then Axon Taser Instruction.
