Blackstone's Response to Covid-19
Valued Members and Guests,
As we move into another week of changes in our personal and professional lives as a result of the coronavirus outbreak, we thought it might be helpful to recap a few changes in our operation. We appreciate everyone's flexibility as we continually adapt during these unfortunate times. Our goal, as always, is to maintain the highest standard of safety at our facility.
OPEN FOR BUSINESS! We are an essential business as outlined by Mecklenburg County and the Department of Homeland Security’s Critical Infrastructure Sectors Agency
Normal Store Hours – 10:00 AM – 9:00 PM (7 days a week) – We are back to our normal operating hours.
Drive-Thru Wait List – In order to abide by the CDC's social distancing guidelines, we are limiting the number of guests in the store at one time. As a result, we have implemented a check in station at the front of the facility with a wait list. Simply drive up to the podium and give our associate your name and phone number. You can then wait in your car in the parking lot and we will text or call you when it is your turn to enter the store. We are servicing guests as fast as possible and wait times are minimal.
Social Distancing In-Store – Help us keep everyone healthy! We are strictly following the CDC's social distancing and workplace guidelines in order to combat the spread of coronavirus. We have taped off high traffic areas in the store to help easily identify and maintain the recommended safe distance from each other. In addition, we encourage everyone to practice good respiratory etiquette and hand hygiene. Our employees are some of the friendliest people you'll meet, however even we have ceased methods of greeting that require contact between individuals such as handshaking.
Social Distancing on the Range – We are spacing out our guests on the range by including an empty stall in between each shooter in order to maintain the recommended safe distance. Furthermore, every shooting stall and its targeting electronics are fully sanitized after each use. All of our ranges are equipped with HEPA (High-Efficiency Particulate Air) filters, which filter out airborne particles as the air is recirculated with outside air. These same HEPA filters are used in many hospitals to enhance air quality within this environment.
Ammunition and Firearm Inventory – We are receiving large shipments of firearms and ammunition daily! Chances are we have what you are looking for. We will continually update our social media platforms and email to reflect the arrival of new and exciting products. Unfortunately, due to our limited warehousing capabilities we are unable to reserve product over the phone at this time.
Gunsmithing – We currently have ceased taking any new gunsmithing work orders to prevent extended lead times in the rare event that we do close for a period of time. Any outstanding work orders are still being processed in a timely manner. Our gunsmithing department is scheduled to resume normal operations starting May 1st.
Group Instruction – In order to comply with the state-wide shelter-in-place order, we will be rescheduling all April group instruction and classes to occur in May. Check the event list below for upcoming course dates.
Single-Person Private Instruction – Single-person private instruction will resume April 16th. Schedule an hour-long training session with one of our certified instructors and learn the fundamentals of your new firearm.
